They play “SEXY GARAGE DANCE”, according to their own description. Freesonica put it this way: “See it as an exhilarating combination of the raw energy of 60s Garage Rock, the recalcitrant attitude of the Dutch Indie scene and Electro dance grooves”. So why is it Sexy? “…well we are sexy, aren’t we??”
Barely a year ago, Stefan Stoer (drums) and Chris Mulder (bass) decided to pursue a radically new course after the demise of the Britpop band they had been playing in. They were aware that Kimberly (who is from the same village and frequents the same watering-hole) wrote a lot of poetry, and they concluded that it would be interesting to make music together. Once they started writing it became clear that the combination of bass and drums was too minimal, and the sound of the Philicorda turned out to be the perfect solution. Daily Bread was born!

Stricken City - 'Losing Colour'
If it was the mid-’80s, Stricken City would be the archetypal British indie band. They studied film and fashion, have an eccentric knockout for a singer, and write songs that are ramshackle, charming and slightly obscure. They’re indie in the best, oldest sense of the word.

The Raveonettes are a Danish alternative rock duo, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner (born 1973, Sønderborg, Denmark) on guitar, instruments, and vocals, and Sharin Foo (born 12 December 1979, Copenhagen) on bass, guitar and vocals. Their music is characterized by close two-part vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers coupled with hard-edged electric guitar overlaid with liberal doses of noise, very similar to The Jesus and Mary Chain. Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of '50s and '60s rock with intense electric instrumentation, driving beats, and often dark lyrical content, similar to another of the band's influences, The Velvet Underground.

Gobble Gobble - Nikki (I Am Not The Dream Cover)
GOBBLE GOBBLE is a vulture of the spirit, tearing away at the carrion of the soul. GOBBLE GOBBLE lives on the faultline between suits and destitutes, and it is from this isolated perch, impelled by the terror of a dayjob and utterly prostrate beneath the looming monolith of abstracted death, that he gathered his eggs together, prepared the nest that would become their home and began carving words into their sides. This nest, set gingerly on teetering high-rise stilts, encircles the flesh fruit that make up his debut album Neon Graveyard.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes - 'Kisses Over Babylon' HD
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American ensemble band led by Alex Ebert, vocalist of the power pop group IMA Robot. Their first full-length recording, Up from Below, was released July 7, 2009 digitally and July 14, 2009 physically on Vagrant Records. Their first show as a full band was played July 18, 2007 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.
Their song “Home” was voted number 15 on the Australian Triple J Hottest 100, 2009 countdown, the largest music poll in the world.
After breaking up with his girlfriend, moving out of his house, and joining a 12-step program for addiction, Ebert began work on a story about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe. According to Ebert, Sharpe “was sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind…but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love.” Ebert later met singer Jade Castrinos in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2009, as Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Ebert and Castrinos toured the country with a group of fellow musicians in a big white school bus.

Gnarls Barkley - 'Gone Daddy Gone'
Gnarls Barkley is an alternative/soul group which formed in 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The group consists of Cee Lo Green (vocals) and Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton (multiple instruments). The group is best known for the international smash hit “Crazy”.
“Crazy” - which was their first single - debuted at #1 on the British pop charts on April 2, 2006. It was the first #1 UK single to be obtained solely through Internet downloads. The success of the single in the UK was due largely to its use in a promotional trailer for Radio 1 across all of the BBC TV channels prior to the single’s release. ‘Crazy’ stayed at #1 for almost 9 weeks.
The buzz for “Crazy” helped generate a lot of press coverage of their debut album, St. Elsewhere, which was released on May 9, 2006.
The album is seen as a cross-over between hip-hop, rock and soul. Both artists have previously been known to have a quirky experimental side, moving between different genres of music.
Producer DJ Danger Mouse began his career doing remixes of indie rock artists like Neutral Milk Hotel and downbeat instrumental music under the ‘Pelican City’ alias. He later went on to emphasize more hip-hop production: most notably his The Grey Album, a remix of Black Album, with samples exclusively from The White Album; 2005’s DANGER DOOM collaboration with MF DOOM; and, most recently, the double platinum Demon Days.
Gnarls Barkley singer Cee Lo Green started out in the classic southern rap group Goodie Mob, but later developed a unique funk-inspired soulful style of singing which developed on his solo albums .

Wild Nothing - China Town
Wild Nothing is the solo project of Virginia born Jack Tatum, whose music is the product of an unhealthy obsession with nostalgia. Equal parts teenage wasteland and inexplicable regret, his songs are the kind that could only be made by the young at heart. Unlike the current herd of one-man bedroom bands, Tatum creates complex textural environments that aim for something higher. Melodies that yearn to stay with you. Warped interpretations of Johnny Marr’s guitar work and The Cure’s careful synth arrangements. Dreamy, catchy, and intriguing. Here’s to missing your youth.
Tatum began recording under the moniker Wild Nothing in the summer of 2009 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Upon gathering attention in indie music circles, he was signed with the Captured Tracks record label and began touring with a band. His debut full-length, Gemini, was released in spring 2010 to acclaim from Pitchfork Media and the music editors at Amazon.com.
